The Avon Foundation is an accredited 501(c)(3) public charity in the US that was founded in 1955 to improve the lives of women and their families. Now past the half century mark, the Avon Foundation brings this mission to life through two key areas of focus: the fight against breast cancer and support for women's empowerment, including economic advancement and the issue of domestic violence, and more than 300 grants area awarded each year for these important causes. The flagship programs are the Avon Breast Cancer Crusade, which works to advance access to care and finding a cure; and Speak Out Against Domestic Violence, focused on ending the cycle of domestic violence, with a special focus on children. Avon is proudly the largest corporate supporter of the breast cancer cause, with programs in 50 countries, and the commitment to domestic violence is growing.

Avon and the Avon Foundation also respond quickly to national and international emergencies, raising funds and providing support for women and famiiles affected by incidents such as the attacks of September 11, 2001; the tsunami in Southeast Asia; Hurricanes Rita and Katrina; and the military conflict in Iraq and Afghanistan.

Allow me to tell you a few reason why I love AVON and having my own AVON business. 

FLEXIBILITY - I get to arrange my schedule around how I want my day to go.  If I want or need to do something with the kids, I do it.  I don't have to worry about the boss getting mad about my need to take time off.  I am the boss.

CONVENIENCE - Having the ability to do a huge portion of my work for my AVON business online is fantastic.  I don't have to keep up with every single slip of paper with orders on it because with just a few clicks, it's on the computer waiting for me to submit it along with the others on my order day.  Then, it is delivered right to my door.  Working in one's pjs is great!

KNOWLEDGE - I don't have to try to remember everything there is to know about the AVON products (and it's a lot), because it's all right there on the computer.  If I don't know the answer to something, I can usually find it on my representative website.  If it is not there, no sweat.  I have several other resources to get the answers I need from, including my upline, my distric sales manager, and the AVON representative help desk.

SUPPORT - I may be in business for myself, but I am not alone in this venture.  I have the support of my team leaders, my district sales manager, and the company of AVON; right up to the CEO of AVON.  No, really.  We representatives are not low person on the totem pole.  AVON, the company, knows that we independent representatives are the backbone of the company.  Therefore, they listen to what we have to say and do their best to accomodate our needs.  They also reward us for our efforts (more on that later).

Of course, MONEY - AVON is not a get rich quick type of business.  You do have to work to build your business and your customer base.  However, you get rewarded for that.  The more dedicated you are to building and increasing your business, the more you will benefit.
